How to secure your device
Follow our security guidelines to protect your device.
-
Restrain from downloading apps from untrusted sources. Download and update apps only from official app stores such as rustore.ru.
-
Install licensed applications only. Pirated copies of applications make it easy for fraudsters to gain access to your banking applications.
-
Noticed suspicious activity? If your device sends messages, tries to call unknown numbers, or opens apps on its own you should immediately turn off data transfer and turn on Airplane Mode . Run a virus scanner on your device, then remove all suspicious and unused applications .
-
Update your OS in time. Turn on the "Auto download" function in the OS update settings to receive regular updates.
-
Do not use insecure passwords. Set strong passwords for apps to make it harder for scammers to guess them. Use unique passwords for each application to keep your data safe.
-
Do not follow untrusted links. Do not reply to a message or click on a link sent to you via SMS, email or chat messenger from strangers and companies. Contact the shipping company directly whenever required. Do not follow download requests from strangers.
-
If you get a call from a stranger who asks you to install an app — these are scammers you deal with. Do not click on links that are sent during the call, and avoid installing those applications. Please refer to official websites, and safe programs placed on app stores.
-
Use two-factor authentication whenever possible. Use two-factor authentication as an extra security level so that only you can access your account, even if someone else knows your password.
-
Use a passcode to unlock your devices. Set up a passcode on your device to protect your data if it gets lost. We recommend using Touch ID or Face ID if they are supported by your device.
